Educational Opportunity Fund
The Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) is a state-supported program that provides access to higher education and financial assistance for highly-motivated New Jersey students who come from economically and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds.
This comprehensive program was established by the New Jersey Legislature in 1968 to make a college education accessible and affordable for New Jersey residents who are first generation college students and who demonstrate educational and historical economic disadvantage.
The Rutgers EOF Programs provide an array of comprehensive services which include a residential summer bridge program, academic support services, advising, and leadership development activities. Our main goal is to increase the academic and social integration of EOF students into the University's heritage of academic excellence.
